What websites does it work with?

Any public URL with HTML content: blogs, docs, news, wikis, and more. JavaScript-rendered SPAs may have limited support since we extract from the initial HTML response.

What is x402 pay-per-request?

x402 is an open payment protocol by Coinbase that lets AI agents pay for API calls with USDC stablecoins directly over HTTP. StripFeed's v2 endpoint at /api/v2/fetch accepts x402 payments. No sign-up, no API keys. Your agent sends a request, gets a 402 response with payment instructions, signs a $0.01 USDC payment on Base, and receives the content. Works with any x402-compatible wallet.

Do I need an API key to use x402?

No. The x402 endpoint (/api/v2/fetch) requires no API key and no account. Payment is handled per-request via the x402 protocol. Your AI agent just needs a wallet with USDC on Base. The existing v1 API with API keys continues to work unchanged.

How does caching work?

Results are cached for 1 hour by default. Customize with ?ttl= (up to 24h) or bypass entirely with ?cache=false. Cache status is returned in the X-StripFeed-Cache header.

Can I process multiple URLs at once?

Yes. The batch endpoint (POST /api/v1/batch) processes up to 10 URLs in parallel in a single request, each with optional CSS selectors.

How is StripFeed different from Firecrawl or Jina Reader?

Yes. Official SDKs for TypeScript (npm install stripfeed) and Python (pip install stripfeed). Both are zero-dependency, fully typed, and support fetch, fetchMarkdown, and batch methods.

Can I use StripFeed with Claude Code, Cursor, or Windsurf?

Yes. Install our MCP server with npx -y @stripfeed/mcp-server and set your STRIPFEED_API_KEY environment variable. It works with Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP-compatible client.

Does it work with JavaScript-rendered pages (SPAs)?

StripFeed extracts content from the initial HTML response, so JavaScript-rendered SPAs may have limited support. Server-side rendered pages, blogs, docs, and news sites work great. JS rendering support is on our roadmap.

Enterprise plans include a custom SLA with uptime guarantees and dedicated support. Free and Pro plans are best-effort with high availability, but without a formal SLA.
